In-reach Out-reach Committee

In-reach-encourages the members of the Orthodox Church of the Holy Cross to care in consistent and organized ways for the needs of our community. We proclaim Christ not only by speaking the Gospel or telling one someone about the Lord but by striving to make life more like the kingdom of God, by helping the sick, feeding the hungry, comforting the lonely, standing up for the outcast, as He taught us.

Outreach-encourages the members of the Orthodox Church of the Holy Cross to become involved in the ministry of the Church to the greater community. Our Community Luncheon program prepares food for a local soup kitchen monthly, and special events throughout the year demonstrate that we believe in His message to ‘love our neighbors as ourselves’Interested???

Community Luncheon Project

Parishioners gather the first Saturday of each month at 9 AM to prepare food for both the Community Luncheon program in Mt. Holly, and some of our own parishioners. This group also bakes goodies twice each year for our college students away from the parish during the year. As of 2009, this project has entered its 14^th year.

 Caregivers Support Group

This support group started out with the goal of supporting parishioners who are the primary caregivers of a loved one or friend, but has grown to include others in need of supportive friends. Confidentiality and compassion are key ingredients for the success of this group. Meeting dates and times can be seen in Crossroads or our Website.
